Let’s Get Started!
We have two locations to meet with couples; in the heart of downtown Northampton at our Big Wheel stationery shop or where all the action happens, at print studio in Easthampton. At our first meeting we like to get to know you. We want to know who you are and how you met. We want to know all the dreams and ideas you have for your wedding.
We will look through a catalog of invitations, paper and accessory samples. At the end of our meeting we will have created a general concept for your invitations, put together a timeline and a cost estimate.
We send a final quote via email 1-2 business days after the initial meeting. In order to start a project we request a 50% deposit.
Pre-Meeting suggestions: It is helpful to have examples to look at together. Whether it be another’s invitation, color swatches or paper samples, bring them with you! Do you use Pinterest? Great! We do too. We can share and go over all these materials and inspiration and use it as a starting off point.
Design & Quote
With the general concept we put together in the first meeting, in addition to all other pertinent details, we can start working on the final design and layout.
Some couples come to us with a design already in hand. In this case we do a review to make sure the design and design files are compatible for letterpress printing. We can work directly with your designer for any changes that may need to be made. This ensures you are still happy with the design and no details get lost.
Please note: Our quotes allow for three revisions. Any other edits after that are billed at $25 per round.
Paper and Envelope stock
We stock Crane paper and envelopes along with many other popular selections. Our lead printer has been a fine paper merchant for over 30 years. With his knowledge and paper expertise we can find the perfect stock for your occasion.
Proofs & Final printing
Once there is a final design we have you sign off on a digital proof, then we start printing! Design-to-print turn around is typically two weeks, depending on the complexity of the design and the time frame our clients are working work.
Assembly is not included with order. Assembly is $1 per invite. We will discuss these details during the design process.
Please note: BWP is not responsible for any errors after the proof has been signed off on. Clients are responsible for any reprinting costs. Sorry, no refunds available at this time.
Payment & Shipping
Final balances are due at completion of order. Orders can be picked up at either our Northampton or Easthampton locations or shipped using USPS or UPS. Shipping costs will be added on to final payment.
