We start all students off with Letterpress 101, the fundamentals to all letterpress printing. Big Wheel Press's fun one day workshop takes you through the basics of letterpress.
You will set and cast type. Print on an antique platen press and a Vandercook cylinder press. You will leave with a pile of letterpress goodies. This class is required to be eligible for open studio access.
Class size is always small so everyone gets to print and explore the studio.
We need three sign-ups to run the workshop. Workshops held mostly on weekends, but week days are possible. Dates will be set up at the beginning of each month. Date requests will be considered.
